District-Wide Rent Stabilization and Just-Cause Protections
Pursue a just-cause eviction ordinance and cap annual rent increases at CPI + 3% for pre-1995 housing stock, addressing rents outpacing wages in a district that is 33% renters.

Open Government Accountability Act
Ban closed-session removal of elected officials without a public hearing, require a recorded vote on every disciplinary action, and publish a public dashboard of every council vote within 24 hours.

Redirect 10% of Public Safety Overtime to Youth and Mental Health
Move $1.5–2 million from LASD overtime into a District 3 Youth Opportunity Fund for summer jobs, after-school programs, and a civilian mental-health crisis response team.

Why I’m Running
For over 12 years, I have shared the same daily commute, watched our rents and taxes steadily rise, and seen the exact same faces on our city council. Like so many of you, I kept hoping for a change.
But when our council decided to remove the mayor and install our current Council member during a secret meeting, something clicked for me. I realized we can no longer wait for things to fix themselves.
I looked at our community and asked myself: if not me, who? If not now, when?
I am running because Palmdale is our home, and we deserve better. We deserve real representation and leadership that works openly for all of us.
Palmdale has the highest local sales tax in the country, and our current Council member voted in favor of it. Residents deserve to know where those dollars go and what they deliver. I believe every sales-tax dollar should be tracked through transparent budgets, clear public reporting, and measurable results. City Hall should show how this revenue improves services in District 3—not ask taxpayers to accept higher costs without accountability.
Residents also deserve clear answers about major communications and branding contracts. A communications services contract was reportedly renewed twice at approximately $1.3 million per year—meaning the total could exceed $4 million over multiple years. Was the work competitively bid? What specific deliverables are residents receiving, and are the results worth the cost? I believe contracts of this size should have clear deliverables, measurable performance goals, competitive review, annual budget scrutiny, and full public disclosure. Palmdale taxpayers deserve responsible spending and an open process—not blank checks.
Palmdale residents deserve transparency about the Parris Center in Lancaster. Palmdale first committed $2.5 million — approved with no contest from any council member — then approved an additional $7.5 million from the City's General Fund for a facility in Lancaster named after Lancaster's mayor, while Palmdale residents pay among the highest sales taxes in the nation. Our current Council member was on the Council that approved it. As your councilmember, I will fight for transparent budgets, measurable public value, and accountability for every taxpayer dollar.
